Welcome to Burning Plan.  A few things…

This is NOT an official site on Burning Man.

This is also not authority site on Burning Man in any way, shape, or form.

This *is* simply the same advice I would give any of my friends who were interested in attending Burning Man.

Every year I have an awesome time at Burning Man -in large part- because I am well prepared. The better prepared you are, the more likely it will lead to a better Burn for you.

 

I see preparation for Burning Man as two things, covering the basics like food, clothing, and shelter, and then preparing for getting ready for the “extras”… like pimpin’ yourself out with playa wear, bringing out to contribute, designing an art car or whatever.

 

Personally, I am not a fan of “roughing it.” That’s not how I Burn. I would, and do, go camping for that. Instead, I am all about “glamping” or “glamorous camping” at Burning Man. Good and nutritious food, clean hygiene, and thriving despite the harsh elements. Other basics help my Burning Man experience tremendously. I don’t tell others how to Burn, and I’ll say it again… this is how *I* experience Burning Man, and that changes year-to-year slightly. Ask a hundred people for advice, and you probably get at minimum two-hundred answers…

Burning Man has become *the* event I look forward to the most every year. And for good reason. I find it very inspirational to see all of the possibilities and achievements of so many people who are willing to put so much of themselves into this one event.

Although this site does have a site map, at the end of each article, I give you suggestions on what you should read next. This way, this site will have a nice flow, like flipping the pages of a book.
